How does it work?
Twice a year Good Night Out publishes an online menu of shows it feels will be of interest to rural audiences. It will feature a broad range of entertainment including drama, music, comedy and children’s shows. You can take as many or as few shows as you like.
The touring companies are all professional and used to touring rural venues. They bring the technical equipment. You will welcome them and they will set the show up.
Finances...
Only venues located in Cherwell District, Council, South Oxfordshire District Council and West Oxfordshire District Council will be eligible for subsidy at this time.
Subsidies are offered to all venues thus reducing their financial risk. Subsidies vary but range from £150 to a maximum of £400. There is a point when a show goes into profit and the scheme asks for a % of that profit back to reinvest in the scheme.
